NOTICE:

I regret to inform everyone that, as of right now, the 2022 Shebandowan Smallmouth Showdown Bass Tournament will not be happening.

Over the last few years, some of our organizing committee members priorities have changed and we don’t have the people needed to run the tournament.  If someone would like to take over the job of organizing the SSSBT, we would be happy to hear from you.  We have the equipment, contacts and documentation required for anyone that wants to assume the role.  If you are interested, please contact Brad Rissanen at brissanen@shaw.ca, Wayne Smith at smithway@tbaytel.net or Kyle Vescio at tvescio@tbaytel.net for more information.

If there is no interest shown in someone taking over the tournament by April 15, 2022, we will start issuing refund cheques to everyone that is still entered.  The refund cheques will be issued to the team captain, unless the captain requests otherwise.  We will attempt to confirm the participants address prior to mailing the cheque, but if your address has changed since you registered for the 2020 tournament or if you know of a participant that has moved please let us know at ssshowdown@hotmail.com.

Thank-you for your support throughout the years and if the SSSBT doesn’t happen this year, hopefully someone will step forward to run it next year.

 

 

 

 

Your 2019 SSSBT winners, Captain Troy Nicol and his partner Adam Christensen!!!  CONGRATULATIONS GUYS, WELL DONE!!                                    They weighed in a total of 27.80 lbs over the two days!

Winners of the Lund boat, trailer and Mercury outboard was father and son duo of Trevor and Ken Zimak.  Congrats guys!  Huge thanks goes to Lund Boats and Mercury on the donation of this prize!

 

 

Second place went to Mike Sawatsky and Jesse Hagdu with 27.73 lbs

Third place went to David Williams and his son Scott Williams with 26.45 lbs

 

THE SSSBT IS SUCCESSFUL, NOT JUST BY HAVING A FULL FIELD OF TEAMS, OR HAVING GREAT SPONSORS AND AWARDING FANTASTIC CASH AND PRIZE PACKAGES.  ITS THE VOLUNTEERS THAT GIVE UP A PRIME WEEKEND OF THEIR SUMMER TO COME AND HELP THE VOLUNTEER ORGANIZING COMMITTEE MAKE THIS ANNUAL EVENT THE SUCCESS IT HAS ENJOYED FOR 15 YEARS.  TO THE VOLUNTEERS WE OFFER OUR SINCERE THANKS!!
